BAHN. Moscow Layout. The Rolling Stock.
win  ||  koi  ||  dos  ||  eng

New or updated information is marked with |

  The Moscow BAHN layout includes files Soviet.UFG and Soviet.UZZ, which allowed it to use the actual, rather than surrogate, rolling stock. The following table lists all types of the rolling stock developed and included in the files Soviet.*. The types used in the Moscow layout have been marked with a "+" in column "M". (In addition, various other types of tramways and trolley buses have been developed, that are in use in other ex-Soviet cities, primarily, mass models of the 1970s through 1990s, e.g. KTM-5, RVZ-6, LM-68M, ZIU-5, in the period's typical liveries.)

  In March 2001 Jan Bochmann published release 2 of BAHN version 3.70, which eliminated a number of bugs, and - for the FIRST time in the software's history - included Soviet and Russian tramway cars, as pictured by the author of this page. BAHN 3.70 r2 standard distribution package includes all of the tramway cars listed below, except for white-and-blue LVS-86 which was developed later, and except a recently corrected version of Tatra T7.

  The Moscow layout includes all (but not in all of the existing liveries) types of tramway cars which were used for revenue service or in testing in May 2000, with the exception of TMRP-1 (there was one TMRP-1 car in service on route 27, one converted into a training car, and the prototype stationed in Moscow's Municipal Transit Museum). Tramway car allocation by depot is in general consistent with the 1999 statistics data, giving effect to known changes made in 2000. As an example, Krasnopresnenskoe depot has 6 cars of type Tatra Т7B5 and 2 of type T6B5SU (aka T3М), while depot Apakov has one KTM-621 (the one exception is that the only car of type KTM-619 (thyristor-based) has been placed in the BAHN layout in depot Bauman and not in depot Rusakov. Depot Bauman accommodated later contactor-based model KTM-619K). In the real world, approximately 60 to 75 per cent of the rolling stock enter daily revenue service. The cars standing in the depot idle have not been included in the layout, but the overall split between the different car types is consistent with the 1999 statistics. Non-passenger service cars have not been included in the layout, with the exception of MTV-82a standing at the Tramway Repair Shop and three cars in the Museum. Advertising liveries have not been included, with a few exceptions. The exceptions include 7 cars of type Tatra T3 in individual advertising liveries servicing route A.

  Several of the following types of tramway cars are unique in the world. These have been marked with red color.
